CS Job Already in use Error

Error During Sql Execution (DA0003) >> Exception Cs: Job Already In Use



For a while i've been getting this error on BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence (deski) and finally i found a solution. So thought of sharing it because lot of people seem to have faced this issue.

these are some of the links which discuss about the same issue but none of these suggestions were able to resolve the problem.



In my case BO is trying to access data from an Oracle database and i've several version installed for various applications and all of those share the same TNS name file.



For some reason this seems to be creating the issue. The solution is to keep the TNS entry needed for BO to access the database on the correct client copy ONLY.



Remove the same entry been used on other instances / client versions installed; my assumption is it conflicts and tries to access from both.
